Definetly value for the money, great location, service and staff.

I ordered a prawn garlic dish from the Western Meal section and the dish had mashed potatoes and gravy which was not provided. After urging the staff to bring the missing item, instead of a gravy - melted butter was served which was quite ridiculuous. Please inform the customer if some items are not available because eating boiled potatoes with melted butter was definetly not what I was looking forward to. However, besides that dish the rest of the items we ordered were on point.

Wonderful stay its was, as it is always with Mayfair group.

Chef Kuren's Bali Prawn was marvellous!! We had enjoyed it in Mayfair Darjeeling too, several times. The dinner banquet was very apathetically decorated. The lawn was marvellous. The room was spacious, we opted for a sunset view room.

Nothing in particular indeed!! But if the breakfast menu had more varieties it would have added an extra leap to the efforts of the staff in the kithchen.

Excellent place to stay. I would highly recommend this place.

Very very newt and clean place, courteous staff, excellent location and outstanding layout of the premises and beautiful view.

Food menu is very limited. Water in shower wasn't really hot, as one would need in the winters. Not that it was cold, but could be a bit more warmer.

Amazing views, good curries, comfy bed, lovely decor, nice spa.

Unfortunately we found the level of English spoken by the staff to be some of the poorest we have experienced in India in our eight weeks here - having stayed in plenty of more basic budget options where communication was much easier. We have included a few examples to try and help: At check-in nobody really spoke to us, which set the tone for making us feel a bit alien. In the Mayfair services booklet in the rooms it lists that you can link the TV with your Netflix account. We called up to ask for help with with this, but had to call three times to explain what we wanted, each time being told someone would come to our room to help. After the third call (and an hour wait) someone from housekeeping was sent up and they couldn't understand what we wanted to do. He then sent another staff member who told us that service wasn't possible, which was totally fine, but the question could have been answered on the first phone call if staff had better English and knowledge of listed hotel services. We tried to give some polite feedback that if services aren't available they shouldn't list them in the in-room services book but the staff member couldn't understand us. The book also lists the ability to help with international post - we asked staff on reception to help us send some postcards but had to try two different people before we could find someone who could understand what we wanted. It just felt like the staff hadn't necessarily been trained according to the facilities that the hotel is advertising in its own literature. We felt that if we were domestic tourists (not speaking English) the stay would have been easier. Final nark - on the restaurant drinks menu they list two wines, both domestic, with prices by the bottle only (of about 1200rs).

Good but never through Booking.com for sure. Horrible experience

I liked the staff assistance and help.

The process of Booking that we did through Booking.com. It was very very wrong on Booking.com to charge my card in June 2019 for a booking made in October. This is never done and I am very sorry that i will never book through booking.com. The rates at the hotel for an additional room that I took was cheaper. Imagine paying 2.46 lakhs in June 2019 for travel that i was going to make in October 2019. I worte to Booking.com but did not get any reply whatsoever. The GST rates have come down w.e.f 1st October 2019 but the hotel said Booking.com has to refund. God knows when that will happen???
